My Story…

First, I want to thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. Those who have known me for any length of time know of my struggle with migraines. My journey started after TBI (traumatic brain injury) in  March 2014.  After almost 2 years of nonstop migraines I got some relief with different medications and but only short term. I sadly learned to live with migraines, thankfully I worked for a small company and could keep my office datk when I needed ro except one small lamp. That was until covid and I was laid off, by that point I was up to 20 plus migraine days a month and I just had to deal with it. I could no longer enjoy the things my husband and I did so often early in our marriage like concerts, Thursday night football, Friday night baseball, or even Shooting of fireworks with friends for the fourth of July. I was trapped!!! Then I found an amazing head specialist and neurologist they have been a God send. Things are getting better. BUT, now vaping has become a trigger and outdoor venues have become a struggle maneuver. So although my prevention and rescue medications have my migraines down to 4-7 attacks a month which is a HUGE win. Migraines are still very much a part and will always be a part of my life, mainly due to a TBI 14 years ago. So if you would consider a small donation to help with reach to support migraine research I would be forever grateful. THANK You!!!!
