My Story…
I first experienced migraine attacks in my late teens. At that time, they occurred about every couple of months and were often dismissed as just bad headaches. After a car accident in 2014 that resulted in both a neck sprain and a head injury, my life changed dramatically due to the development of daily migraine attacks. Simple tasks, like working in my office, became ordeals that required accommodations such as dim lighting. Although the frequency of the migraine attacks decreased somewhat over time to about 15-20 times per month, they continued to impact my ability to participate in activities with my husband. The breakthrough came in December 2023 when I found a specialist in headache management who was able to provide effective care. Since then, I've had to make several medication changes to keep my symptoms under control. These attacks have a profound impact on every aspect of my life. This year on February 10th I attended Headache on the Hill.
